Jodie Griffiths

Centre Manager

What’s your role at the Dorothy Parkes Centre and what do you enjoy most about it?

My role is Centre Manager and the most enjoyable part of my role is meeting the many people who come to the centre each and every day.

What’s one word your colleagues would use to describe you?

COLD - I am always cold!

What’s your favourite memory or moment at the centre so far?

I love organising the Fayre's at the centre and seeing everyone enjoy themselves after all of our hard work.

What’s your top tip for someone visiting the centre for the first time?

Expect to come back a lot - once you've been, you'll be back for more!

What’s your go-to drink or snack during a busy day?

I love a cup of tea and find it very difficult to say no to all of the cakes and pastries that appear at the centre regularly

What’s a hidden talent or fun fact about you that most people don’t know?

Fun fact - I met Robbie Williams from Take That on the day that their single 'Pray' went to number one in the charts in 1993!

What’s your favourite way to spend a weekend or day off?

If I get some time to myself I like to sit down with a glass of wine and either read or watch TV.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I've always wanted to go on a Mediterranean cruise.

What’s a book, film, or TV show you love and always recommend to others?

Traitors!  I missed out on the first series, but haven't missed one since.

If you were a character in a movie or TV show, who would you be and why?

Phoebe Buffay (Friends) – she was quirky, creative, and unapologetically herself
