Centre News Archived News Summer Fayre 2025 We’re thrilled to announce the success of our 2025 Summer Fayre, held in partnership with Smethwick Old Church on Saturday 19th July. Despite a rainy day and the added challenge of the local Mela taking place at the same time, we welcomed a steady stream of visitors and raised an impressive £1,260.90! This total will be split equally between The Dorothy Parkes Centre and Smethwick Old Church, with each organisation receiving £630.45 to support their ongoing community work. The event featured a range of fun activities and stalls for all ages, including games, tombolas, bric-a-brac, delicious food, and music. It was a fantastic opportunity for the local community to come together, have fun, and support both the Centre and the Church. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to: Everyone who attended and supported the event Our amazing volunteers and staff from both the Centre and the Church Local supporters who donated items, time, or services And the wider community for helping make the day such a success Funds raised from events like this are vital for maintaining and expanding the services, groups, and activities offered at The Dorothy Parkes Centre and Smethwick Old Church. These events not only generate income but also strengthen community bonds and raise awareness of the support available locally. Planning is already underway for the Christmas Fayre in November – so stay tuned for updates! Thank you once again for being part of something truly special. Together, we’re making a difference.
