Instead of arriving by post or courier, the cards were personally run over to us by David Lewis, Senior Manager – MI & Systems at Hays, who has made this festive run one of his favourite annual traditions. This year, David timed it perfectly, arriving just in time for the cards to be laid out on the tables before our Christmas lunch was served. Each card was written by a member of the Hays team, offering a small message of kindness and goodwill. These simple gestures meant a great deal to those in attendance, bringing smiles, conversation and a real sense of being thought of and valued at Christmas. David also achieved a personal milestone on the day, managing to knock an impressive two minutes off his run time from last year – adding a personal victory to an already heart-warming act of community support. We’d like to say a huge thank you to David and everyone at Hays Consultants who took the time to write a card. Your continued support helps us create a warm, welcoming environment for local people, and this thoughtful tradition is now a much-loved part of our festive celebrations at the Dorothy Parkes Centre.
