Centre News Archived News Rewire project comes to an end after two years The Rewire project, launched in September 2022, in partnership with SinglePoint Plus Family Hub and Breathing Space Therapeutic Services will end in August 2024. As a result, there will be no more N-Gage Youth Clubs or Nature Buddies sessions. The project, funded by The National Lottery Community Partnerships Fund was created to support children and families struggling to readjust to life after Covid and life under lockdown. Rewire has provided targeted and open access community services to build community resilience and enhance the wellbeing of local people. Rewire has included child and adult counselling, family support services, peer support, youth clubs and therapeutic outdoor activities. In year one of the project, a total of 320 children and 71 families were directly supported via services, there were 543 visits to the outdoor therapeutic activities, and 354 attendees to the various trips and events held. The Dorothy Parkes Centre has provided the venue for the N-Gage Youth Club on a Tuesday and Nature Buddies sessions on a Saturday at our Community Allotment Plot. We will be looking at offering a similar provision in the future so please watch this space for further details.
