We are excited to announce the launch of Soup & Social, a new initiative at Dorothy Parkes Centre in partnership with the William Wilson Turner Foundation, supported by generous funding from Heart of England and IM Properties.

Every Wednesday and Friday from 12pm to 1:30pm, we are offering free, hearty soup to anyone in the community. This project is designed to bring people together for a warm, nutritious meal and a chance to socialise.

To kick things off, Chef Aairon Dalton from Food for Thought utilised our brand new kitchen and created a delicious Cauliflower and Carrot Soup for the launch on Friday 17th January, with around 30 people joining us to enjoy the food and friendly atmosphere.  We were honoured to have some very special guests with us for the launch of our Community Fridge who also enjoyed a bowl of soup - Cllr Steve Melia, Deputy Mayor of Sandwell and Dan Lee, winner of MasterChef: The Professionals 2021.

The Soup & Social project will run until early April, so we encourage everyone to stop by for a warm bowl of soup and a welcoming space to connect with others.

We look forward to seeing you there!
