The Dorothy Parkes Centre is proud to be part of the Warm Welcome Network, offering a warm, safe space for everyone in our local community. As the temperatures dropped in January, we were pleased to offer Warm Winter Packs to those in need, made possible by the generous funding from National Grid Customers UK and Localgiving.

Each Warm Winter Pack included essential items designed to help you stay warm during the colder months:

  • Electric throw blanket
  • Draught excluder
  • Radiator bleed key
  • Hand warmers
  • Torch
  • Thermos flask

We had 50 packs available and they were all collected within three days. We are currently collating the monitoring details and will report back on how many people and households this initiative has supported. We are here to support the community, and these packs were just one way we hope to make this winter a little easier for those who need it most.
