Centre News Archived News Birthday celebrations held at the centre What a beautiful afternoon we had at the Centre on 30th November as everyone came together to celebrate the birthdays of two very special ladies - Edna, who turned 100 years old, and Mavis, who celebrated her 90th! Surrounded by friends from the Good Afternoon Club, family members, and special guests, the celebration was a heartwarming occasion filled with laughter, love and memories. It was an honour to welcome David Heeley OBE (known affectionately as Blind Dave Heeley), Deputy Lieutenant, and Deputy Mayor of Sandwell, Cllr Steve Melia, to join in the festivities. The afternoon was filled with smiles, conversations, and the joy of celebrating these remarkable milestones. We’d like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Edna and Mavis—two truly inspiring ladies whose lives are a testament to resilience, kindness, and wonderful memories made along the way. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us to make this event so special. Here’s to many more years of happiness and celebrations! Manage Cookie Preferences
