Our Christmas Fayre was a wonderful way to kick off the festive season and brought so much joy to the community with an amazing mix of stalls, entertainment, food, and festive cheer. The event was a true celebration of community spirit.

A Look at the Highlights:

• Stalls, Games & Tombolas: There was something for everyone, from exciting games to a raffle and our popular chocolate tombola and regular tombola.
• Entertainment: We were delighted to welcome performances from Brandhall Choir and the Uplands Manor Primary School Choir, whose festive songs added to the magical atmosphere.
• Festive Food: Delicious festive treats were on offer, keeping everyone warm and well-fed.
• Free Activities for Families: On Sunday 1st December, families enjoyed a free bouncy castle and crafts provided by Smethwick Old Church.

Both days saw a visit from Santa in his grotto! Each child who visited Santa received an advent calendar, a special gift, and a tasty treat—a breakfast sandwich on Saturday and hot chocolate with a Christmas cookie or cake on Sunday.

A Fantastic Result

We are thrilled to share that the Christmas Fayre raised an incredible £2,502.90, which has been split equally between The Dorothy Parkes Centre and Smethwick Old Church—meaning £1,251.45 each.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and made this event so special. Your support, participation, and festive spirit helped create a warm, welcoming weekend full of joy, laughter, and community togetherness.
