As news of the disaster reached our Centre, staff, volunteers and local residents quickly rallied to collect donations of essential items. The appeal was led by Angela, one of our group leaders who runs the NHS Mental Health Support Group at the Centre. With close family members impacted by the hurricane, Angela showed remarkable dedication by personally flying out to Jamaica with the donated items to ensure they reached those who needed them most.

Her actions reflect the true spirit of our community — one that cares deeply, acts quickly and supports others even from thousands of miles away.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to this appeal. Your generosity has made a meaningful difference during an extremely challenging time, and we hope the support provided has brought comfort and relief to families rebuilding their lives.

Thank you for showing what community really means.
