Centre News Archived News A Magical Weekend of Festive Fun and Community Spirit! From the moment the doors opened, the Centre was filled with laughter, festive cheer, and the wonderful aroma of seasonal treats. Families enjoyed a wide range of activities, including craft stalls, games, tombolas, raffles, and entertainment, while children were thrilled to meet Santa in his grotto and share their Christmas wishes. The atmosphere was truly magical at both the Christmas Fayre and the Christmas Market, with beautifully decorated stalls offering handmade gifts and crafts, and plenty of opportunities to pick up unique treasures for the festive season. One of the highlights was our Pop-Up Christmas Therapy Farm on Saturday, which was a huge hit! It brought smiles to visitors of all ages and helped raise awareness for children’s mental health. We were also delighted to welcome students from MF Martial Arts, who wowed onlookers with a demonstration of the skills they’ve been learning in their weekly classes. Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, we raised a fantastic £2,617.87, which will be split between the Dorothy Parkes Centre and Smethwick Old Church to support vital community projects. We are so grateful to all our donors, volunteers, stallholders, and visitors for making this event such a success. Your support helps us continue to bring people together and make a positive difference in our community. And of course, a special thank you to Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule in the run-up to Christmas to visit so many excited children! Manage Cookie Preferences
