Together We Grow Community Gardening Workshops Together We Grow is a series of free, friendly gardening workshops held at the Dorothy Parkes Centre community allotment plot, designed to bring people together through practical learning, conversation, and time spent outdoors. These sessions are open to everyone, whether you’re completely new to gardening or already have some experience. The focus is on sharing skills, building confidence, and enjoying a relaxed, supportive environment where people can learn at their own pace. How the sessions work Each Together We Grow session lasts around one hour and includes a mix of hands‑on activities and informal discussion. Sessions may cover topics such as: Composting demonstrations and tips for composting at home Sowing seeds and potting plants Practical plant care advice A guided tour of our community allotment plot Time for questions, chat, and sharing knowledge with others Sessions are relaxed and social, with plenty of opportunity to take part as much or as little as you like.
