Background The Dorothy Parkes Centre is an award-winning community centre based in Smethwick. We are seeking a passionate and organised Good Food Project Lead to manage and develop our new Good Food Project, which brings together our Community Allotment, Community Kitchen, and Community Fridge. About the Role The Good Food Project Lead will: Coordinate the day-to-day running of our food-based initiatives. Oversee cooking sessions, allotment activities, and fridge operations. Support volunteers and work with partner organisations to deliver impact. Ensure all food safety, safeguarding, and health & safety standards are met. Monitor outcomes and report on progress to stakeholders and funders. About You We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in delivering or coordinating community or food-related projects. Organised, resilient, and able to engage people from all walks of life. Knowledgeable about (or willing to learn) food safety, nutrition, and health promotion. A confident communicator who can inspire and support volunteers. Flexible and willing to work occasional evenings or weekends. Why Join Us?
