Bookkeeper Bookkeeper Salary: £14.09 per hour Hours: 6 hours per week, exact working pattern to be discussed. Location: Smethwick Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer The Dorothy Parkes Centre is a community centre based in Smethwick. We are a registered charity & offer a place of welcome and opportunity for our local community. We have a great opportunity for an individual to join our team and process financial documents, perform accounting work and complete basic administrative tasks in the role as Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions and balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries. They will provide financial reports, budgets and forecasts for the CEO and Board. Applicants must be able to clearly demonstrate experience of financial management systems and the necessary skills and experience to carry out this role. Good communication skills, use of initiative, ability to work without supervision and attention to detail is essential. They must also demonstrate an understanding of key factors affecting small community projects & experience working with diverse communities.
